The evening of May 28th saw the closing ceremony of 2022 BRICS Professional Skills Competition kickoff match in Xiamen, which meant the successful completion of the kickoff stage of 2022 BRICS Professional Skills Competition. The opening and closing ceremonies of the kickoff match were shown livestream simultaneously on Cloud and Chinese Top Line (Huaren Toutiao), attracting about 4 millions viewers. This kickoff match included competitions in three events, i.e. Web technology, machine learning and big data, and tracked vehicle technology, with nearly 200 teams from BRICS member nations, nine of which as winners.

Such cooperation documents as“Implementation Memorandum forInternationalFuture Skills and Personnel Potential Development Project”,“Sino-Russian Development Agreement for Higher (Secondary) Professional Education Cooperation in Railway Transportation” and“Cooperation Agreement to Assist Laos in Constructing Professional Education System for Systematic On track Transportation” were also signed at the opening ceremony of kickoff match.

2022 BRICS Professional Skills Competition has the kickoff and final stages, including 28 events which focus on such important new industrial areas as smart manufacturing and digital economy. The finals are scheduled to start in November.
