Project introduction:

The system for carbon emission monitoring & accounting/report/verification (MRV) is important for building a carbon market environment and for enterprises to conduct systematic examinations on their internal carbon emission levels and related management systems. However, at present, MRV in the industry is mainly done by manual statistics and verification.
The intelligent carbon emission platform (iCEP) based on blockchain is independently developed by ROOTCHAIN using IIoT, big data, blockchain and other technologies. The carbon emission data from energy use of SCOPE1/2 enterprises and the distributed solar green power consumption data built by enterprises are collected onto the platform through IoT technologies. Stream data are converted through big data modeling, so that enterprise carbon emission management data are detected online and displayed in real time, and certificates are stored on the blockchain platform, which cannot be tampered with. At the same time, based on ROOTCHAIN, a self-developed industrial blockchain platform, a carbon emission management coalition chain can be established for other units related to indirect upstream and downstream carbon emission of SCOPE3 enterprises. Carbon management ecology such as carbon credit and green certificate trading among coalition enterprises can be established based on the blockchain certificate, distributed ledger and smart contract technologies on the platform.
At present, the platform has obtained relevant software copyrights such as "ROOTCHAIN Carbon Monitoring System" and "ROOTCHAIN Blockchain Task Management and Certificate Incentive System".
