Project introduction:

In order to fully implement the national deployment on ecological civilization construction, COSCO SHIPPING Development Co Ltd Actively practice the social responsibilities to promote the green transformation of the Yangtze River shipping by investing in building the pure electric  power container ship, which will promote China as a global leader in zero-carbon shipping.

The project selects 700TEU class container ship as the first batch of zero-carbon ship types. The ship is equipped with 50,000 kWh swappable battery containers as the power source. In order to guarantee the operation of the ship, the project will deploy the charging stations quickly in some major ports along the Yangtze River. On the basis of realizing the electrification of ships, the project will also apply swappable battery containers to achieve the energy storage applications such as adjusting the electric network load and so on, promoting the development of zero-carbon frontier technology of ships.
