Project introduction:

Based on the strategic needs of building a country with strong transportation network, and to implement the development concept of “green, low-carbon, energy-saving and emission reduction” in developing underground space, the project, focusing on “new rock breaking technology, new rock breaking equipment and new rock breaking construction method”, carries out researches on the new generation of tunnelling technology of multi-dimensional/multi-medium coupling rock breaking, which mainly includes: 1) a new generation of mechanical rock breaking tunnelling technology based on the “shear resistance theory” of rock: carrying out researches on hard rock cutter head with special-shaped disc cutters to greatly reduce the energy consumption of tunnelling and improve the universality and economy of tunnelling equipment through making full use of the rock property of shear strength being only a tenth of compressive strength and combining the concept of “rock undercutting” with tunnelling equipment; 2) a new generation of tunnelling equipment and construction method based on new ways of rock breaking: innovatively coupling various rock breaking media such as sound, light, water and electricity with tunnelling equipment, which can not only fundamentally solve the problem of the abnormal wear of metal cutting tools, but also break through the construction bottleneck of existing tunnelling technologies and promote faster, better, safer tunnel construction through taking advantage of the small specific energy and high efficiency of the new rock breaking ways. The successful researches and application of the new generation of tunnelling technology can effectively solve the adaptability problem under complicated and changeable engineering geological conditions and difficult underground structure construction, innovate the upstream and downstream industrial chain, improve the application of scientific and technological integration and modern technology in tunnel construction, optimize the working environment of tunnel construction personnel, and achieve exponential growth of tunnel construction efficiency, great cost down and energy consumption reduction in tunnel construction, which helps to achieve the goals of “carbon peaking” and “carbon neutrality”.
