Project introduction:

Large mining excavators are often operated in open-pit mines in high temperature, high cold, high altitude and strong wind areas. The operating environment is extremely harsh, with vibration intensity of ±5G and noise of 90 decibels. In addition, the volume is huge, reaching more than 20 meters, and the operating sight distance is more than 50 meters. Therefore, excavator operatorsare easy to produce visual fatigue, physical discomfort, prediction deviation and other phenomena, whichlead to frequent occurrence ofoperation accidents and low excavation efficiency.

The intelligent remote control system of large mining excavatorstakes advantage of thecharacteristics of5G  technology, such as high speed, low latency, low power consumption, to transmit high-definition video signals and control signals at the local and remote ends of the excavator in real time, and displays the status information and fault prompts on the remote images through information fusion technology. Through environmental reconstructionand sound vibration feedback, the operators have a sense of scene immersion. Multi-camera imagescan change their viewing angles an any time through reasonable switching methods such as picture-in-picture,button pop-up windows and other reasonable switching methods with production processes.  Combined with the position and attitude of dipper, truckand excavator alignment system are determined. It realizes intelligent auxiliary functions such as autonomous planning, automatic mining, flexible rotation and accurate unloading.

Thewhole system fills the domestic gap and plays a demonstration and leading role. It helps promote the progress of China'slarge mining equipment to high-end intelligence, promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, improve the production technology level of China's mining industry, and effectively improve the labor productivity, operation safety, comprehensive utilization rate of mine resources and economic benefit .
